The diagrams shows how an LED (light emitting diode) flashlight works
Overall, there are five main parts: batteries, the cover, a slide switch, the circuit, and the Led light. We can use the slide switch to turn the flashlight on and off.
The cover protects the inside of the flashlight. The inside has two batteries, some wires, and the light bulb. The slide switch is the most important part here because we can use it to turn the light on and off.
When the slide switch moves up, the broken circuit connects to the wire so, the whole circuit is closed and there is electricity and the light is on. When the slide moves down, the broken circuits disconnect from the wire so, the whole circuit is open thus, there is no electricity and the light is off. That’s how the flashlight works.
