The bar chart shows the proportion of the UK and International students gaining second class degrees or better in seven different subjects in 2009.
Degree results were similar for both groups of students in Nursing and Accounting. In Arts and Sociology, UK students did better. The biggest difference in degrees was in International Law, where three-quarters of UK students gained a second class degree or better. On the other hand, fewer than half of the international students reached (attained) this level.
Degree results were generally good for both UK and international students, with well over 50 per cent gaining a second class degree or better in all seven subjects except International Law. However, International students tended to do better than UK students in technology-related subjects. Whereas over 80 per cent of international students gained a good degree in IT, only about half of the UK students did so.
Overall, the chart suggests that international and UK students had different results when studying in this UK university.
