The pie chart compares the proportion of people who received information from eight categorised sources about Covid-19.
Overall, it is evident that television was the most commonly used source while posters and hospitals were the least relied upon. Most people obtained their information through mass media, with relatively fewer depending on personal or digital means.
As the diagram shows Television accounted for just over 50% of the information sources, making it by far the most dominant medium. This figure was more than double that of newspapers which contributed a significantly smallar share.
It is worth mentioning that the family and friends category indicated higher figures than radio, with 39,8% and 33,8% respectively. The latter, however, was more effective in helping people become aware of Covid-19 compared to messaging apps such as Whats app Wechat and so on resulting in a difference of approximately 16%.
