In today’s world, most of the countries are facing a new form of enemy, that is global warming. On the contrary, deforestation is also highest cause of concern in this era. In my opinion, both of these issues are causing highest level of environmental problems. My justifications are as below.
First and foremost, world is industrialised and to operate machinery used in industries, we need to burn fossil fuel (petrol, gas and diesel) to generate energy. Burning of such fossil fuel release toxic gases CO2 and SO2 in the air. There are different consequences of this phenomenon. These consequences include climate change, raising of sea levels and natural disasters like earthquake and tornado. All these environmental factors lead to the global warming. Global warming can cause devastating effects for earth’s environment.
On the other hand, deforestation is also a noteworthy problem for the living beings. Humans have started cutting down more trees to meet their growing demand in different sectors. Products of these sectors are used in houses and manufacturing of musical instruments. They are also used to produce coal and heat. Deforestation is a threat to wildlife. It will cause shortage of food and shelter to the animals and ultimately will lead to the extinction of species. It has become necessary duty for the government to tackle this rising issue. It can be managed by good governance and we can preserve our earth’s natural environment.
To sum up the above, global warming and deforestation are two major threats to the entire ecosystem. These issues can cause catastrophic effects to the biosphere. Strict government laws and plantation of more trees should be encouraged to mitigate the effects. This is our earth, where we are living since centuries. It is our duty to save our habitat.
