In today’s world, experience in the real world is prioritized. Therefore, whether students should work before or pursue their university studies first arises. In my opinion, students should work before their university studies.
Working in the domain from an early stage can adversely affect an individual’s career. Even before the curriculum starts can be a good idea to enhance basic and operational skills in real time. Working before university study starts can be beneficial. For instance, a friend of mine had an immense interest in the hotel industry working as a chef. In his early career stages, he started consulting with some local chefs and also ran a social media vlogging channel. As a result, the network grew on a large basis and helped him in his early career. Working early can also help students become financially independent in the early stage of life, also the network web is expanded on a large basis leading to less struggle in later life. Working students develop a good number of social skills that can help them in their professional lives and also in their personal lives. Organizing time becomes a very huge factor when students work, along with social skills time management skills are also brushed up in a small amount of time where every non-working student might struggle.
On the other hand, very few disadvantages can be seen. Students who cannot manage time can lack important skills, and also miss out on important things like studies. Not being able to manage time and organize things priority-based can affect student life on a larger scale.
Although, having disadvantages, advantages overcome and outweigh every disadvantage, and making working earlier a good decision based on skilled development and early access to industry can have a greater advantage on students’ lives as well as working professional in the future.
