In this present era, shopping is considered an entertainment. Some selection of individuals from developed societies assumes that people shop for their needs and wants while others argue that in this era people are shopping for entertainment. From my perspective, I reckon that shopping stands for our basic needs through which we sustain our lives, and my supporting reasons will be outlined in the following paragraphs before reaching a conclusion.
At the outset, entertainment is one of the numerous needs that must be fulfilled to pursue happiness in people’s lives. To elaborate further, shopping for entertainment is done by all people, this habit can lead them to financial problems because everyone is buying everything, even something that they do not need, even though they do not have financial freedom. however, it can lead them to stress because of their need to update their gadgets or just buy trendy shoes. On the other hand, their essential needs are not yet fulfilled because of their big expenses. An apt illustration of this is, it forced them to borrow some money and commit criminal acts to fulfill their impulsive behavior.
In contrast, Shopping is very essential for people to survive and it leads the economic growth too fast and the seller gets encouraged and brings a lot more commodities from overseas. In addition to this, many work opportunities will be opened and investors will invest their money owing to financial growth. Nevertheless, many gadgets are becoming more advanced due to complying with their consumer needs, which can help anything done faster because of technological development happening in all sectors.
In conclusion, people do not need to shop to entertain themselves because it can create hedonistic behavior and stress because of the need to update unimportant things or force them to buy unnecessary kinds of stuff for their lives.
