Dear James,

I am writing to apologize in advance as I will not be able to attend our community event on Sunday.

Unfortunately, my daughter broke her leg playing on the playground. Actually, she fell off the ladder after attempting to reach the top. She was suffering quite a lot and I had to drive her to the hospital. As a consequence, I am planning on staying by her side while she is resting so that I can take great care of her.

However, I have suggestions to find another person to replace me for the event. One of my brothers will be delighted replace me to carry out my initial job. I also know that you all wanted to see me again on this special occasion, though. So, I am going to attend the following event, even though I will have to make some arrangements for it.

I am aware that you counted on me to lead and manage some of the activities, as well. While I may not be able to come, maybe I could ask for another of my relatives to join you and my brother? My older sister has already led a sports team, so she can manage a whole activity based on rugby.

At any rate, I remain at your full disposal if you need any piece of advice on the equipment I was thinking of to organize the rugby session. I hope we can all catch up as soon as my daughter is healed.

Best,

Erwan
