There has been much debate about whether the government should allocate more money to public services instead of the arts. From my perspective, I wholeheartedly agree with this view, as basic needs come first and citizens need healthcare and education. Moreover, economic growth and population stability are more important than artistic creations. In this essay, I will explain why I agree with these perspectives.

As an illustration, in developing countries such as Japan, investing in hospitals saves lives directly, while paintings do not.
