Recruting capable police officers always has been a major problem for the govermant. Some people arguee, that officers with local knowledge are a better fit than officers without that knowledge. Wheter police be hired locally or not, there are arguments on both sides.

Firstly, it is to be mentioned, that in general police officers should know there surroundings especially the cultural habits of the society they will serve . Furthermore that could improve the possibility of closer relationships between the law enforcement and the citicens. That been said, it definitly make sense to recrute locals for law enforcment work.

One problem with recruting known asspirants for the police academy could be, that they could have really close relationships with inhabitans of the community the life in. In a real criminal case it seems that a police man would decide otherwise, when they are not that close with the inhabitans.

In general, it can be said that having local knowledge can be a severely advantage regarding police work. One main argument for law enforcment, especially the Police, may be that they know every rual spot in the city. With such information a potential chase of a criminal robber could be way better organized, cause the assigned officers know’s every little hiding spot in the city. Nevertheless it can be argued, that in times of electronic devices such knowledge isn’t that important as it used to be.

Overall, it can be stated, that knowledge of the surrounding workplace can be a great benefit. But it is also to be mentioned, that a various problems with deeb influence in a community could accure.
