Unequal distribution of wealth is one of the common problems faced by the developing countries. The void between the upper class and lower class is widening every passing day. It causes a plethora of problems which will be elucidated in the subsequent paragraph with measures to mitigate this issue.
To begin with, one of the main problem of unequal distribution is that education has become very expensive. There are a lists of schools and colleges which are very costly and not within the reach of poor people. Due to this, these people are not able to compete for high paying jobs and it becomes a fundmental disadvantage for them. Another important issue is the increase of crime rates. As marginalized groups most often do not make enough money to meet their basic needs for themself and families, leads to heinous acts like burglary, theft and other illegal activities.
Although these issues are critical, it is possible to find solutions. Firstly, the necessary actions are to be taken by the government by increasing the minimum wages of lower-class people in order to decrease the gap. Secondly, govt. should offer the scholarships for the disadvantaged and poor people to study in schools and colleges so that they could get the proper education to get better jobs in future. Thirdly, reserving seats for marginalized group or quota system can alo be one of the solutions. Additionally, authorities should encourage and endeavour entrepreneurship among underprivilized people. For instance, the Grameen Bank by Novel laureate Prof. Dr.Muhammad Yunus gives easy loan to rural women since it’s establishment and becoming many female people independent by running their own business with this mony and contributing their family.
In conclusion, it is true that the financial inequality in our society is increasing day by day and its yeilding many problems such as crimes and increaing educational expenses. Proper plannings, measures and initiatives by the authorities could resolve the problem slowly over the period.
