It is true that the food scarcity has been getting worse in many countries recently. There are a variety of possible reasons for this, but steps can definitely be taken to tackle the problem.
In my opinion, three main factors are to blame for the situation that there is not enough food for everyone. Firstly, many people spend much more money on food than what they might consume. This leads to the waste of food, while these foods can be allocated for others indeed need them. Secondly, humans detroy the habitat of plants and animals for modernization and industrialization. As a result, the varieties of food sources reduce, which means we have less food options to choose from. Finally, severe climate changes have happened more frequently, including storms, tsunami and global warming. As plants and animals can not adapt to these dramatic changes, they end up with a drop in their population, which affects human food sources directly.
The scarcity of food can certainly be improved. I believe that the change must start with the government, which has a big impact on society. The government should raise dwellers’ awareness about the lack of food sources problem recently through some campaigns. At the same time, we must also need to change our attitude toward the way we consume food. There is not always plenty of food for us, so we must use it reasonably. In addition, we should reconstruct the habitat for plants and animals where they can thrive best to produce food for us.
In conclusion, people will continue to face food scarcity unless the public demonstrate the right behaviour themselves.
