The following bar chart depicts the percentage of woman and men working in educational industry in six types of academic institutions in the United Kingdom through the year of 2010.
It shows what proportion of each gender worked in various educational establishments, and demonstrates which ones are more popular for them.
Overall, it can be seen from the chart that pre-school and primary school were the most popular choices among females, whilst males gave preference to university jobs. The number of workers in college was equal for both genders, thus secondary school and private training institute experienced slight differences but stood at nearly the same level.
The highest figures for nursery and primary school were witnessed by female teachers, with about 95% and around 90%, respectively. Males in this categories got the lowest rate (approximately less than 10%). Regarding college, the percentage of teachers is the same for both genders, very nearly to 50 percents.
Nevertheless, man educators headed university rates in the year of 2010 with the proportion about twice as much as women, around 70% and 30%, respectively. Moreover, they got nearly 10 percents more than females in terms of private training institute, with 55% and 45%. However, woman teachers had higher rates of employment than man in secondary school, for around 10%, regarding the proportion of 55% and 45%, respectively.
