Overall, the number of volunteers was evenly balanced in 2008 except in the health-care industries whereas sport and environmental organizations were mostly dominant in 2014. The trend summarizes people engagement towards sports as well as concern for environment.
In 2008, most of the volunteers were actively providing their services for educational organizations which was 24%. The least count of volunteers were reported at health care sectors. 21% volunteers contributed in environmental organizations which was the second highest. In addition, Art and sport industries had total of 33% of volunteers.
On the other hand, the number of volunteers in educational institutes was dropped to 17% whereas health sector had seen only 1% growth in volunteer numbers. It seems that people were getting more attracted to sports events as there was 10% rise in volunteers numbers. Similarly volunteers were keenly participating in environmental organizations which is a sign of environmental consciousness.
