Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the dining experience I had at your restaurant, “The Olive Grove,” last Saturday evening, January 20th.
To begin with, my party of four arrived at 7:00 PM for a reservation we had made a week in advance. Despite this, we were kept waiting in the lobby for over 45 minutes before being seated. Once at the table, the service was exceptionally slow; it took another 30 minutes just to have our drink orders taken. Furthermore, the waiter assigned to our table appeared disinterested and was borderline rude when we politely asked about the delay.
I was particularly unhappy because this dinner was intended to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and the poor service completely ruined the mood of the evening. To make matters worse, when the main courses finally arrived, two of the dishes were lukewarm, suggesting they had been sitting out for some time. It was embarrassing to host guests in such an environment.
To improve your standards, I strongly suggest that you provide additional customer service training to your floor staff to ensure they handle guests with courtesy. Additionally, I recommend reviewing your reservation system to avoid overbooking, as this seems to be the root cause of the delays.
I hope you will take this feedback seriously and take steps to rectify these issues.
Yours faithfully,
Alex Johnson
