These pie charts show us the average percentages of three types of nutrients which are sodium, saturated fats, and added sugar in typical American meals.
Overall, it is clear that dinner’s have the most percentages of sodium and saturated fats, with 43% and 37%. This is a lot, especially comparing to breakfasts, that have the smallest percentages on every chart. They have a small amount of all three types of nutrients. Moving to the lunch, the percentages are remain stable, and don’t change much. But what I should mention, is shocking quantity of added sugat in snacks. Even though in two other chart snack have average percentages, they have diabolical amount of added sugar.
While checking the chart second time, there are noticeable differences between regarding stable types of meal, and the ones that change dramatically. Breakfasts and lunch are stay pretty much the same, while dinners and snacks have abrupt shifts.
