In recent years, it has become less common for people to become teachers. Their numbers are decreasing slightly, especially in secondary schools. It leads to that, gaining knowledge will be difficult for pupils and the overall quality of education might see a reduction in future for many countries. There are various possible reasons for that, but steps can definitely be taken to address this issue.
To begin with, the first strong argument is that the teachers’ salaries are too low. They are not suitable for them, even if the educators have a huge responsibility for the children and their process of studying. And for the sake of earning money more, the tutors need to make extra lessons considering that a particular student can relate indifferently to them. Everything that is mentioned above results in physical and mental health, which are a second argument to being uninterested in working as a teacher. The teaching has a lot of drawbacks linked with it. For example, educators can continue their job at home even all day or all night, despite the fact that they have a personal life. Moreover, the constant meetings with young ones with distinct personalities, exactly with bad-temporated children are not pleasant satisfaction. To conclude, there is no doubt that the teachers’ work has several reasons to not be a teacher.
Following this, it certainly has the kinds of solutions. The starting step is that the government can do an improvement of incomes to the educators. There may be a great motivation to keep a proactivity during the work. Then, it will be necessary to reduce working hours or change schedules to prevent the teachers’ burnouts. In addition, the school authorities must have a discussion about the behaviour of kids with their parents. These actions will make teaching easier and affect the increasing number of people who want to be an educator.
In conclusion, the problem of the number of teachers which is coming down nowadays is important for society. In my opinion, it can be solved with the state’s efforts to simplify the work and give some discounts. We have to make decisions about it, if not there will be the beginning of a deficit of educators.
