Band 7+: Some people think that professional athletes make good role models for young people, while others believe they don’t. Discuss both these points of views.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Nowadays, some groups of men hold the opinion that professional athletes make a wonderful case for teenagers, while others think that they do not. This given statement is really tricky, but from my point of view, professional athletes are giving good examples for the new generation due to their past road to success, their life stories, and how they became so successful in life. However, some of them are not so good because of their practicing mindsets.

Most teenagers follow different athletes on social media, whether it is a football player or a UFC fighter, and some athletes have bad intentions toward their fans, especially youth, by giving them incorrect examples of social life or having a bad influence on their fragile mindsets. It is a really disappointing fact; nevertheless, it is not so bad as it goes.

On the other hand, many pro sportsmen motivate youngsters to do sports and introduce a healthy lifestyle. What is more, a major part of famous athletes rose from the bottom; many of them lived and grew in slums. For instance, Charles Oliveira was born in Brazilian favelas, where children can easily get killed by various diseases or by crime groupings. However, he went to a gym, and then he became a world champion in MMA. From his biography, many children from the whole world gain motivation to never give up and provide themselves with a good future.

To sum up, opponents consider that famous athletes give a good impact on youngsters, while others believe that they do not. So, I approve that pro-sportsmen give more positive influence rather than negative due to their past road to the top of world recognition.
