In last years, technological inventions such as mobile phones have become an essential part of people’s lives. Some people believe that these device makes us less socially interactive. I partly agree with this opinion because although mobile phone reduce face to face communication. They also help stay connected in many ways.
On the one hand, mobile phones can negatively affect social interactions. Many people spend a large amount of time on their social media, games or watching something on their phone instead of making real life conversations with other people. For instance, it is common to see friends or family sitting next to each other but all focusing on their screens rather than having real conversations. This behavior can affect atmosphere of family or friends and reduce meaningful communication. Young people may become less confident in social situations because they rely more on online communication.
On the other hand, mobile phones actually make communication much easier and faster. People can contact with their family and friend instantly through calls, messages and social media platforms. This is especially useful for individuals who live far away from their loved ones. For example, international students or workers can easily keep in touch with their families through video calls. Furthermore, mobile phones help people create new social connections through online communities and networking platforms.
In conclusion, while mobile phones may reduce direct face to face interaction in some situations, they also provide many opportunities for people to communicate and maintain relationships. Therefore, i believe that technology doesn’t necessarily make people less socially interactive it it is used in a balanced way.
