There is an ongoing debate about a child’s upbringing. Parents are always responsible for raising a child, but outside influences also play an important role. While some people think that external factors are equally important, I strongly believe that parents are the main foundation of a child’s values.
One reason why parents are so important is that they guide children from an early age. Children learn habits, behavior, and moral values from their parents, which often last a lifetime. For example, the saying “the apple does not fall far from the tree” is true in many cases, as children tend to copy their parents. If parents act kindly and respect others, their children are more likely to develop empathy and good character.
Another reason is that parents are responsible for their children’s environment and experiences. They make decisions about education, discipline, and daily routines, which all shape the child’s development. In addition, parents have a strong emotional influence that outside factors cannot replace. While friends or social networks can affect children, they usually only reinforce habits that are already formed at home.
In conclusion, I believe that external influences can have some effect, but parents play the most important role in a child’s development. Their guidance and example form the basis of a child’s values, which is difficult to change later.
