The pie charts compare the contrubution of various sources to French energy generation in two years: 1995 and 2005.
Overall,It is noticeable that petrolium energy production decreased dramaticaly over the period but the production of nuclear power increased significantly over the years. And coal and gas generation remained relatively stable.
In 1995, it is clear that three types of resources displayed the same share, coal, gas , and petrol accounted for 29.80%, 29.63% and 29,27%, respectively. Nuclear energy contributed 6.4%, furthermore, other sources were the smallest tendency, making up 4.9%.
By 2005, the amount of energy produced from gas and coal exhibited a slight growth, with their figures going over 30%. The proportions for nuclear and other resouces rose more sharply to 10.10% and 9.10% relativly. However, petrol was the only enrgy source that saw a decrease during this time . Despite being one of the leading contributors, its figure dropped by around 10% in 2005.
