It is often argued that domestic animals should stay at home, while others think they should be permited to be in outside. From the perspective of safety, it is always better for them to stay at home to be healthier; however, overprotection is also overwhelming for every living being, regardless of whether it is an animal or a human. In my opinion, we all have the instinct to live independently and explore our sorrounding.
Firstly, all responsible pet owners want the best for their dear and near ones, which for some of them is their pet. They believe that keeping them at home all the time would make their animals healthier and protect them from outdoor dangers. It is an indispensable fact that protection will preserve them from several dangers. For example, some pet owners lose their animals while they are walking on the pavement, as they can get involved in car accindent, so they may be injured or even pass away.
However, too much restriction on any creature is always tiring for their soul of indipendence. These animals at least deserve to inhale fresh air or see others of their own species. Interacting with them can improve their mood, and sometimes it is also beneficial for their breeding. For example, it is often said by cat owners that when their pets go for a walk, after coming back home their cat’s mood improves and it feels very energetic, especially during breeding periods.
Consequently, protecting pets is not always the best choice at all times. It is also important to preserve their energy and soul of indipendence. Interacting with other species can enlarge their horizons, but it should be done under proper observation.
