Nowadays, weddings are becoming larger and less affordable. This is caused by two main reasons: high societal expectations and rising prices for several services. However, inviting guests from a narrower circle of relatives can directly affect the size of the wedding and its cost.
The main cause of this problem is the organizers’ aim to impress the public. In other words, they invite more people, which increases the budget needed for the wedding. Other reasons are the surge in rental fees, restaurant services, and clothing for the wedding couple. The growth in the price of these three main factors influences the overall cost of the wedding. For example, a recent study showed that the average cost of a wedding increased from $65,000 to $100,000, which is about 30%.
A viable solution is to cut the number of invited people. If the cost directly depends on how many guests there are, the most logical solution will be to invite guests from a narrower circle of relatives. Another way to deal with this issue is to find more affordable and profitable offers, and remove unnecessary items, for example inviting well-known singers and actors to the wedding. For example, an ordinary wedding in Tashkent can become enormous and expensive due to extra expenses. However, reducing money on cars, actors and costumes may dramatically have an impact on the overall cost of the wedding.
In light of the above, increased prices and status in society lie at the heart of this issue. However, these problems can be effectively addressed though removing unwanted items and inviting less people. Only by taking such measures can a better wedding be achieved.
