Nowadays, people are spending a lot of money and time on searching petroleum which is non-renewable source of energy. It would be more beneficial to research on producing renewable source of energy such as from sun, water, wind etc. Personally, I believe that it is more significant to invest time and money on researching sustainable source of energy.
First of all, oil mining is very time comsuming, dangerous and expensive process. Many people have lost their lives working in mining industry because they have to work underground with limited oxygen and the process doesnot go always as planned. However, after spending a lot of time and money in oil extraction, its not guaranteed that oil will be discovered. Moreover, many forest areas, land, natural habitats of wildlifes have been destructed in search of oil. This directly affects the environment as a result many wildfile will be endangered.
Furthermore, I believe that people should work towards developing sustainable source of energy. The techniques or mechanism developed for producing sustainable source of energy is advantagous not only for our generation but also it plays a vital role in our future generation. Our future generation will be able to use same technology to generate power. They donot have to rely on mining. For instance, In recent research in Nepal conducted by Environmental students, it was found that using solar engery for household activities has significantly lowered the percentage of forest destruction. As a result, many wildlife has started their habitat in those areas.
In concusion, It would be more advantageous to spend money on research of new techniques for generating various source of energy. which is sustaibale and good for nature protection.
