Vast number of issues are the result of increasing number of cityzenths in urban cities. From my point of view, overpopulation causes pressure on resources and housing problems. However, there are effective measures including agriculture improvement and developing smaller cities and rural areas that can be taken to tackle this problems.
High demand for resources and lack of accomodation are the main consequences of soaring amount of population. In other words, the demand for resources is directly proportional to the population size so, need for them increase in line with number of humans living there. For example, many regions experience water scarcity because the growing population consumes more water than local supplies can provide. Moreover, as the urban population rises, many cities struggle to provide adequate housing for all residents. In fact, major people are struggling with finding place to inhabit in Tashkent due to rising number of population rapidly. Therefore, consumption of resources and requirement for housing rise proportionally with inhabitants.
Improvements in farming techniques and reconstructing rural areas are the main solutions of overcrowding. More precisely, agricultural modernization can provide enough resouces for mankind living there. To illustrate, India’s Green Revolution significantly increased agricultural output through the use of improved seeds and modern farming techniques. In addition, development in small cities besides urban cities and ruin areas can ruduce the shortage of housing. A clear example of this is China that, invested in rural development projects, creating employment opportunities and improving living standards outside major cities. That is way, lack of resources and accomodation can decline by them.
To conclude, the main effects of overcrowding in cities include desire for more resources to live as well as inequality between number of people living and housing in specific city, while advancement in agriculture and redesigning rural areas represent the most viable ways to resolve it.
