In contemporary year, learning foreign language has become extremely popular among learners. It is argued that some experts have a notion that children should start learning overseas languages from their primary institution. I partially agree with this view that although focusing on non-native languages is essential skill for students, it has some drawback for children’s academic performance.
On the one hand, studying overseas languages is crucial for youngsters, which can develop their communication skills, and get a chance to pursue their higher studies abroad in future. For instance, if students want to study abroad in future, they should gain a good band score in IELTS examination as it drives their higher educational opportunity. In addition, if students would speak overseas language with other nation’s people, they managed their studies abroad without any frustration. As a result, students can succeed in their academic as well as their personal life.
On the other hand, studying non-native language from early stage is leading to stress and reduce academic pressure significantly. While studying main subjects, foreign language also provides academic burden. For example, when students focusing on non-native language rather than their main subjects, leads to decline their academic results. As result, reduce their academic performance, which affects the mental well-being.
In conclusion, although learning overseas language is beneficial for children, it may affect their studies significantly. Focusing on other language can improve their communication skills and support their higher education in out countries. In contrast, it induces the academic barrier and affects their mental health.
