The line graph below shows how much money did overseas visitors spent in the UK from the year 1980 to the year 2010, and the pie chart below shows the ream of their visit in 1980 until the year 2010.
Firstly, in the year 1980 people from abroad spent more than 7,500 pounds, and it decreased to under 6 million between the year 1980 then suprisingly increased again to 9 million pounds. Furthermore, In 1985 money kept coming in the Uk till the year 1990. It suddenly dropped between the year of 1990 and 1985. In addition, money spending went up from the year 1995 , and half way through to the year 2000. Moreover, half way through the year of 1995 till the year 2000 money spending from outside visitors went down severly to 9million from the previouse number of 12 million pounds. Another thing half way through the year 2000 until the begining of the year 2005 it money was increasing more than 10,500 million pounds. lastly2010 was the year when money from the people abroad was lower.
On the other hand, visitors that visit to the Uk usually came for many different occasions. Like, holidays, business, visiting friends or relatives, and many other things. people in the 1980 came mostly came for holidays with a 44.1%. Other people came for business which has a percentage of 20,7%. Visitors also came to visit relatives who live in the UK. 16.6%percent of people came for other events or things Unlike the year 2010, 39 percent of people came for holidays which is less than the year 1980, also people came more for business which has a percentage of 22.9 slighly more than 1980. Another thing is visiting relatives has also increased by a margine a perentage of 28.2 percent was recorded. laslty visitors that came to the UK in 2010 has dcreased when it comes to them doing other things.
In conclusion, people spent more money in the UK in the year 2010, and holidays continued to be the most popular purpose of travel
