The bar chart compares the percentages of men and women aged 18 to 20 in a city who were involved in different activities during one month in 2015.
Overall, there were 5 sports activities for each gender that available to participated in. For basketball, hockey, as well as football were more popular among men, whereas women were more interested to joining cycling and swimming activities.
Looking first at basketball, the percentage of men who joined basketball was generally high, reached more than 30%, while women were approximately 12%. Turning to cycling, the percentage of both males and females were almost similar, but females participated more in this activity. For females, the figures stood at 40%, whereas males recorded at below 40%.
For football, this activity was dominated by men and reported at above 50% men who played football for this event. In contrast, women who played football were accounted for less than 20%. Another activity was swimming. Females who participated was higher than males, which is reached approximately 35%, while 20% for males who swam in this event. On the other hand, hockey was the least interesting sport for people. For men, it only took more than 10% people, whereas the percentage of women reached around 5%.
