In modern society, a growing number of young people spend their free time in shopping malls rather than participating in organized activities like sports or music lessons. In my opinion, I believe this is a completely negative development because it harms their physical health and social skills.
Firstly, spending too much time in shopping centers can lead to health problems for teenagers. When young people go to malls, they usually just sit in cafes, walk slowly, or eat fast food. This lifestyle is very harmful, which can cause health issues. In contrast, organized activities such as football or swimming help them to stay active and fit. If they do not do exercise, their bodies will become weak, and this is not good for the future generation.
Secondly, shopping malls do not help young people to develop useful skills. In organized activities like playing a musical instrument or being in a sports team, teenagers learn important life skills. For example, they learn teamwork, discipline, and how to communicate with others to win a game. However, hanging out in shopping centers is just a waste of time and money. They only look at products and want to buy things they do not need, which makes them materialistic instead of learning productive hobbies.
In conclusion, I think that young people preferring shopping centers over organized activities is a negative trend. It makes them unhealthy because of lack of exercise and prevents them from learning important skills that they need for their future life.
