The graph illustrate the proportion of males aged 16-25 in a country who fond of watching sports and engaging sports.
Overall, it is apparent that males’ participation rates recorded consistently lower than of watching, except for fishing. Notably, The majority of males aged 16-25 preferred watching football and horse riding and racing, while the highest participation rates was observed in fishing.
Looking first at watching, Football and Horse riding and racing were the most popular sports for men, with a comparable figures (45%) being recorded in both sports, and to a lesser extent, followed by basketball, accounted approximately 37% of men. Rugby and Badminton shared a comparable figures, with 30% of men from the former and 29% for the latter. In contrast, fishing was the least favorite sports to watch among others, comprising a mere 15% of men.
Regarding males’ participation rates, fishing was the most popular physical activities for men aged 16-25 to take part in, which accounted for 50%. This is followed by basketball and badminton, the figures for both sports was equal of 25%. Meanwhile, all the remaining sprots were much lower, ranging from10% to 20%.
