We live in an age when many of us are convinced that to diminish a criminal rate, jailed individuals ought to be given longer prison term, while others believe there are different alternative solution ways. In this essay, I will review both viewpoints and give my opinion.
On the one hand, there is a group of people, who strongly believe that the term of inmates should be enlarged for several reasons. First of all, due to maximum security penal colony and time prisoners could rehabilitates. Moreover, those factors can allow to become better for them, namely to change their mindset, ideology and world view. Secondly, expansion of prison time will make the lifes of ordinary people safer.
On the other hand, the rest of half of society have opposite opinion. By this view, there is various alternatives, such as development of educational level and growth of job places. Firstly, by the improvement of quality of education and its availability more human beings could be educated and cultured, so they will not begin to do any types of illegal affairs. Secondly, increasing of work positions will promote reduction the criminal rate, because if people have the jib, then they would not do illegal occupations.
Talking everything into consideration, there is two different types of viewpoint about this theme. Some of people think, that years in prison should be raised, but others convinced that there are various ways to deal with crime. I strongly agree with the second statement, because rise-rose the time jailed spent in jail is inhumane.
