Due on lifestyle makes some people prefer to travel in many different countries. Some people assumed the visitors should have ability to follow the original customs and behaviours, while others argued the local people should welcome the differences of culture and having not problems with the visitors customs or behaviors. This essay will explore about the cultural diversity in modern era.
Firstly, the people who visited the other country must bring their own sense of culture in their personal life. The visitors is have their own local customs and behavior, that in their country all that things is normal. For instance, in Bali there are so many foreign people, both for holidays or lived in, they are usually wear the clothes which have contradictions with Indonesian culture. Moreover, the visitors tend to riding bicycles with topless, that things doesn’t suitable with the Indonesian social culture. This circumstances are lead local people to the uncomfortable experiences, feel that the customs and traditions of Indonesia are not respected.
Secondly, some local people assumed the differences customs and behaviors from visitors are acceptable. They agreed to embrace the diversity culture in Indonesia. For example, many visitors in Indonesia can wear the clothes as they wish, as long as the visitors did not make any crimes. Similarly, the host assumed that every person who entered in Indonesia are good behaves, because they have to crossed a lot of terms and conditions in embassy for the permission to enter, such as VISA.
