The chart gives the information about the internet users rates by ages shopping online in Canada from the year 2014 to 2018.
Overall, the percentage of those purchasing through browsers rose for all age groups overbthe period. In addition both periods online shopping percentages had fluctuations as the age group increases.
In 2014, about 20% of internet users of age group the 15-25 shopped online. Then, it rose to almost 32% for 26-35 years old, being the peak value of the sales for that year. However, the figure showed a gradual decrease to about 28%, 22% and 11% for the 35-45, 45-55 and 55-65 age group respectively, and continued to decline steadily to the last reaching around 7% of 65+ year people.
While in 2018, the sales starts off at 22% for 15- 25 years old and gradually increased untill it reached it’s peak 38 % for the 35-45 age group. Afterwards, the sales followed a downward trend for all age group and closed at 11% for last age group.
