Nowadays there are plenty discussions about the reasons behind decreasing of people’s wellness in spite of improvements in healthcare. In my humble opinion, the main reason of this phenomenon is modern pace of life and in this essay I am going to prove it.
First of all, humans just don’t have opportunity to use the benefits of the improvements. Some of them find the medical services extreamly expensive, while others avoid doctors due to lack of time and this “lack of time” shouldn’t be mentioned in passing. The XXI century men and women are utmost busy and do not find time in their schedule for health.
In modern society only miniscule part of adults don’t work and plenty employees have a fear to lose their job. Some of them ready to work overtime because they want to show to an empolyer their loyalty. Someone will not open a sick list even if they look as pale as a ghost. Finally, somebody finds themself in situation where you have to chose between career and family. Therefore, the majority of grown ups live in permanent stress associated with their job that make them anxious and unwell.
Fresh researches prove that there is no need in such severe employmentship. For example, the number of articles provide us with information that decreasing of working hours increase productivity of staff. Then, the COVID-19 pandemic helps proving that remote work can be as effective as work on site that is a great news for people who spend hours to commute.
I consider that people’s health would be drastically rised if current labor legislation forbad to work more than 6 hours in a day and forced employers to provide employees with remote or hybrid work when it possible.
