The chart showcases the consumption of fruits and vegetable of three different categories, namely men, women, and children. The percentages are calculated over a period of seven years, from 2001 to 2008.
Overall, There seems to be a general increasing interest in eating these food groups as the years progressed. The amount of fruits and vegetables consumed peaked in 2006 , while a slight decrease is noticed in 2007 and 2008 for the studied spesimen.
In terms of specific categories, women seem to consume the highest amount of these foods, with a minimum of 20% in 2001 and a maximum of over 30% in 2006. Conversely, children’s prefrences are vastly different, with almost 12% of them having their vegetables in 2001, and around 25% in 2007, making it the only percentage to rise in that year. Men continue to keep a middle ground, having the same exact level of 15% for three consecutive years, from 2001 to 2003. The number increases until it’s even again in 2006 and 2007, and falls slightly in 2008.
