Band 5+: In some countries it is thought advisale that children begin formal education at four years old, while in others they do not have to start school until they are seven or eight. How far do you agree with either of these views?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Children in most parts of the world will normally start to pursue education when they are four. However, some if them begin later at seven or eigth. Personally, I belive that the prior a child start to study is better.

On one hand, children should commenced to have a formal education at four, since they are already entering preschooler stage. Besides of knowledge theese kids can learn how to socialize with other at the same age. For example, a teenage who started school younger will perform better in building relation with other people. Therefore, they are claimed to be more prepared when it comes to socializing. In addition, 4-year-old kid is in an active phase, where they get bored easily. So, to prevent that, it is better for them to spend time at school instead of staying at home all day. Especially, if the parents are busy and do not have much time for their children.

On the other hand, some parents begin to enroll their children at the age seven or eight. This is not recommended as they tends to struggle to adapt with school’s stuff. For instance, this kid will fear of many thing such as making conversation, catching up with the class materials, and others. As a result, these youngsters will have an introverted personality or maybe they are merely nervous as school is still new to them. Moreover, difficulty in studying may be another challenge to deal with. Consequently, the worst possibility is they will hate school and insist to stat at home.

In conclusion, it is much better to let kids exploring at school as soon as they have reached preschooler age, than wait until they are seven or eight. In my opinion, age 4 is ideal to establish formal education.
