The graph below illustrates how access to new technology in UK homes is changing. As can be seen, there was an uptrend in the proportion of usage modern products during 14 years.
It is clear that the most popular device is CD player. In 1994, the amount of consumption started at a high level approximately a half, maintaining steady growth to 87%. By contrast, in the early twenty-first century, the British began using DVD players, but was not common. Especially, there was a soar to 80% from 30% in 2005 of usage, then rose to the same place as CD player in 2008.
In the late twentieth century, mobile phone and internet connection had similarities in percentage of people interested in them. Both began at around 20% and sharply grew in 2000s. Without significant fluctuation, a quadruple within a decade, mobile phone development remained stable at 80% and 60% for internet connection in 2008.
