Watching movies and tv shows, to study history is a good way to understand and remember that time better. For some people, who can’t concentrate at studying it will be easiest way and can be very helpful. I probably agree with this statement.
First of all, while watching videos you remember information better than while studying it. Because watching something can include fun moments, which can be remembered by your brain. Everyone watches films with such emotions, while reading can be so boring for most people.
But in another hand, in movies there are not included a lot of important information according to the historical events. Moreover, the plot can be changed by director of the film. Otherwise historical documentaries most of the time are so boring, that everyone prefers skip it.
To make it more exciting and much more memorable, the producer should know nowadays people’s interest. If people want to study history, they should know that movies are not include a lot of details. So it can not consist of lack of historical accuracy for that times.
