Band 7+: In some countries, many children are becoming overweight and unhealthy. Some people say it is the responsibility of governments to solve this problem.

Obesity has become a global challenge, which is believed to be responsible of governments. While authorities should heighten taxes on unhealthy products and enhance public knowledge towards obesity, I also agree that parents need contribute by encouraging their children to consume healthy food and control the food intake.

On the one hand, the governments are able to reduce the obese issue by raising the tax on products badly affecting the well-being condition of adolescents. For example, candies and packed biscuits should be added more tax so that retails and consumers are less interested on those products, and they have to consider more carefully before opting for the purchase. Additionally, boosting general understanding about the causes and effects of obesity provides more public awareness of health. For instance, extra curricular activities about how food nurtures the body and how exercises gain a robust body, motivating students to adapt with a healthy food portion and adhere to regular physical activities.

However, parents also play a pivotal role in the healthy development of their kids. Firstly, they should encourage the later generations to consume healthy ingredients, including fruits and nuts for snacks and nutritious homemade meals. Consequently, they form a habit of eating such good dishes, advantageously impacting their physical appearance, as well as mental health. Moreover, parents can control the tyoe of food by purchasing foods with unsatured fats and natural sweetness. To illustrate, brown bread is a better option than white bread, and fresh oranges provide more vitamin C than bottled orange juice. Such minor changes at grocery shops bring about significant advantages to the health.

In conclusion, both governments and parents must take the responsibility of declining the number of obese children. Governments utilize their power to legally address the situation, whereas adults manage product purchase and consumption.
