Band 5+: Many governments think that economic progress is their most important goal. Some people, however, think that other types of progress are equally important for a country.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

Some argue that economic development is the sole proirity of the majority of nations while others say that the other types of developments are as significant. Although economic progress is necessary for a country, I believe that there are plenty of other valuable fields in which the government should invest such as educational and scientific fields.

Many people think that that economic development of a country should be the main goal of the government because what makes a strong nation is their financial stability. Additionally, countries with rich economy are stronger than other countries and able to provide protection to their citizens. For example, the USA, is one of the most powerful nations because of their economy.

However, The scientific progress is extremely beneficial for the society, it countributes hugely to the betterness of the community and it also lifts the authorities’ resources. In fact, economies of many nations rely heavily on scientific progress, Japan for instance, they relay on technological and educational progress.

To conclude, despite the fact that boosting the economy is crucial for the public, I think the other sectors are as important. investments and support must be given equally for all sectors to have a well-rounded progress and a stronger community.

Many people assume that the goal of every country should be to produce more vaterials and goods. To what extent do you agree or disagree that constantly increasing production is an appropriate goal?

While constantly producing materials and goods would increase the global economy, I strongly disagree that every country’s goal should be production. As focusing only on production would make other aspects unattended, it would also place a heavy burden on nature. First, when every country focuses on production, sectors such as health and education would be […]
