The given tables provide information regarding coffee and bananas sales in two years, 1999 and 2004, in 5 distinct countries.
Overall, it is transparently evident that the volume of sales for two products increased in almost every country.
Regrading Fairtrade-labelled coffee, the highest rise in volume is for the UK, which table shows nearly tenfold increase in sales by 2004. Next is Switzerland, the second on the list, its statistics also rose from 3 in 1999 to 6 million of euros in 2004. Other countries on the list – Denmark, Belgium and Sweden- experienced a similar pattern in sales volume, reached to 2, 1.7 and 1 by 2004, respectively.
Turning to sales of bananas, Switzerland had the most volume of trade in 1999, tripled to 47 by 2004. The UK banana sales also increased from 1 in 1999 to almost 5 by 2004.
There is just one inconsistency in data, which is worth mentioning. Unlike other countries, Denmark’s banana sales decreased during the given period, dropped from 2 to approximately 1 by 2004.
