This bar chart shows the percentage of households in four different income groups that had internet access in 2010 and 2020.
Overall, it is visible that there was an increasement on the percentage of households that had internet between 2010 and 2020. Although it is noticeable that this percentage tends to be higher in households with higher income, it decreased on the group with the highest income.
The “Lowest” group showed the smallest percentage in both years, 35% in 2010 and 45% in 2020. This 10% of increasement between both years showed similarities with “second” group, which accounted with about 55% by 2010 and, a decade later, was close to 65%.
The third group summarised the higher value on both years with a 75% in 2010 and approximately a 90% ten years later.
In contrast, the group with the highest income increased less than other groups, about a 5% on the same period. It rose from about 50% to approximately 55%
