Overall, it is obvious that more and more students in school chose to play guitar, piano and drum, while the opposite was true for violin. Also, the figure for guitar took the lead among the four musical instruments
In detail, the rate of students choosing to play guitar and piano was roughly the same in 2005, which stood at 10 percent. Then, there was an upward trend in the figure for playing guitar and it become the most popular musical instruments by 2015, with over 25% of students playing it. A similar pattern can be seen in the percentage of pupils studying to play piano and it maintained the second position throughout the period, reaching just under 20% by 2015.
Regarding the 2 other musical instruments, 8 percent of students was recorded at the data on violin as opposed to 5 percent of the figure for drum in 2005. Both data remained stable for two years until the proportion of students playing drum overtook the data on violin in 2015, which was excess 5 percent. By contrast, less and less pupils would like to learning violin and it turned into the least popular musical instruments in 2015.
