The given bar chart compares the percentages of men and women in Australia who did physical activity in 2010.
Overall, it is clear that women accounted for the majority percentage of physical activity in all ages except 15 to 24 years old, meanwhile men in aged 15 to 24 had the highest figure of doing exercise.
There was growth in the percentage of females who participated in regular workouts from the younger ones up to the ages of 45-54. The figure started at 47.7% for women were aged 15 to 24, this increases to 48.9% by the year 25-34. By increasing from 52.5% for males aged of 35-54 to 53.3% for ages between 45 to 54, marked as the leading percentage among all categories. However, it slightly decreased by just 0.3% to 53% for males in 55 to 64 years old, and then again fell to 47.1% for the age group of 65 and above.
According to the chart, males gradually lost interest in physical activity by the time they were 44 years old, as the amount declined from 52.8% in aged 15-24 to 42.2% in 25 to 34 and then 39.6% for the age group of 35 to 44. However, between years of 45 to over 65 years old, there was marginally increase from 43.1% in men aged 45-54 to 45.1% in 55 to 64, and finally 46.7% for those in over 65 years old.
