Additionally, the male bracket generated higher participation in most given activities except for cycling and swimming, which were chosen more by females.
Notably, the largest participation difference between the two cohorts was documented in football, where approximately 50% were men which was around four times the figure for women. Similarly, basketball showed a contrast in preferences between two genders, with nearly 35% of participants being men taking part, yet only about 10% being women. In contrast, hockey was the sport that exhibited a more balanced rate,with roughly 10% of men and around 5% of women engaging in the activity.
Cycling and swimming were chosen more by women. Although the participation in this cohort was recorded for cycling at 35%, this type of activity experienced nearly a half for males. Lastly, cycling attracted a relatively high number in both groups, with participation rates of around 40% for males and 35% for females.
