The chart compares the proportion of 18-20-year old men, and women engaged in 4 different activities (basketball, cycling, football, swimming, hockey) in a month in 2015.
Overall, men were more active compared to women. While most males chose to play football, considerably less females played this type of sport. However, hockey was the least popular among both genders. Furthermore, the most preferred activity among females was cycling.
Basketball, cycling, and football showed higher percentages of male participators than female ones. Over half of the men participated in football, whereas, women were less active in this sport, at about 15%. The percentage of males participating in basketball accounted for around 30%, and that of their counterpart made up approximately 10%, followed by male hockey enthusiasts and female hockey players, at 10%, and a mere 3% respectively.
As for cycling, and swimming, the most male participators preferred cycling, at 40%, followed closely by their counterparts, at about 35%. A considerable 35% of women participated in swimming, with the percentage of men engaged in the same activity making up 20%.
