The bar chart demonstrates the propotion of small, medium, and large businesses that had social media presence for work purposes from 2012 to 2016. Overall, big companies used social media much more that the other two companies, but they had a decline in 2015. In addition, in 2016, all businesses had the strongest presence compared to other years.
Regarding large firms, their presence in social media was a little under 80%, in 2012, and this did not change significantly in 2013 and 2014. Then, in 2015, their figure fell sharply to nearly a half, followed by a 30% rise, reaching about 80% again, in 2016.
As for the other two categories, small businesses had the least presence, accounting for about 27%, in 2012, followed by a increase, in both 2013 and 2014, reaching around 35%. This figure experienced a small fall, before peaking a little below 50%. Moreover, medium companies had the most fluctuations, their percentage was nearly 30% in both 2012 and 2015, while it was just under a half, in 2013 and 2014. At last, in 2016, they witnessed the biggest increase, reaching about 55%.
