In 29–44-year-olds, there is a considerable difference in the number of heart attacks by both genders; men are the most significant with 123 thousand, while only 3 thousand women get a heart attack in a year. In the 45-64-year-old group, the number of heart attacks by males is significantly higher than that of females, which is 424 thousand, whereas women account for 136 thousand heart attacks.
The number of heart attacks by over 65-year-old Americans is the highest among all age groups in a year. There is a little difference between the numbers of heart attacks by men and women, which are 440 and 374, respectively.
