When it comes to the 0 – 14 and 25 – 64 age groups, both of them experienced a downward trend. Despite of this, between 1960 and 1970 the figure for young and middle – aged individuals experienced an upward trend and reached 30% and above 65% respectively. Then, the rate of 0-14 year – old persons saw an enormous fall to about 19%, whereas the proportion of 25-64 year old individuals registered a slight decrease, before growing back to its 1970 year rates in 1980, over a 20 years period, from 1970 to 1990.
