Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that Facebook was the least time-consumed in all given years except for 2016 year where the lowest figure was for snapchat. It is also noteworthy that almost every year the leading positiom changed.
Focusing first on last four years, in 2017, the moat time-consumed app was instagram with approximately 45 minutes. It was distantly followed by twitter and snapchat with 25 minutes and just under 25 minutes respectively. Likewise, around 10 minutes went for facebook. After a year, Snapchat surpassed the instagram reaching almost 40 minutes. Meanwhile, instagram and twitter were consumed the equal period of time – just beyond 30 minutes. In contrast, time that was spent on facebook was less than 10 minutes. Subsequently, in 2019, snapchat still held the leading position in spent time and reached its peak at around 45 minutes. It was closely followed by twitter with nearly 40 minutes. Instagram spent 3 times more time than facebook with just above 15 and less than 10 minutes respectively.
When it comes to last and the first years, in 2016 the highest figure was facebook in terms of time-consumption with almost 25 minutes. On instagram time was spent a little bit more than on twitter, the former making up just below 25 minutes and the latter for well under 25 minutes. Finally, snapchat spent around 10 minutes. And the last but not least, in 2020, twitter has spent the most amount of time compared to others – almost 45 minute where it also successfully reached its highest point. Snapchat spent time 3 times less than instagram with 15 and 40 minutes respectively. And the negligible time was spent on facebook – less than even 5 minutes.
