It is clear that while the movement of people from rural to urban areas in Iran and Russia have increased significantly. Also, the figure for Indonesia was lowest among three kinds over the period shown.
In 2000, there was an average of nearly 15 millions people who moved from the countrysides to the cities in Russia, in comparison with only around 10 millions people in Indonesia and Iran. Over the next twenty years, the average number of people in Russia and Iran increased significantly by approximately 70 millions people. At the same time, the figure for Indonesia fluctuated slightly around 10 millions people.
In 2020, the rate of people who moved was the same in Russia and Iran, with just over 70 millions. From the year 2020 onwards, it can be seen that the average yearly movement of rural to urban areas in Russia and Iran has become the most significant shift. To be specific, yearly moving in Iran has increased to nearly 95 millions people in 2025, while the figure for Russia has increased about 85 millions at the end of the period. During the same period, there was a stability in the figure for Indonesia.
